Bela Szucs 1118447 Posted June 26, 2010 at 02:49 PM Posted June 26, 2010 at 02:49 PM Hi! I am planning on purchasing a dualhead2go digital version. I need some help from pilots who may have used it. What does the screen look like, meaning, does the view of the panel in VC mode split between the two monitors? can you adjust how you see the panel so that it does not split between the two monitors? How is the image quality and the frame rate? I have two different monitors, one is capable of a higher quality the other is only 1280 x 1040 ( i think ). I do not want to purchase a triple head because I think my PC will be two slow, can't afford to drop more frame rate ) Any suggestions are welcome thanks Bela Szucs 1118447 UAL3315
Christopher Mauro Posted June 26, 2010 at 02:53 PM Posted June 26, 2010 at 02:53 PM I have it for controlling, and I recommend actually saving your money to be honest. Many people might not agree with me but it is more worth the money to get a DVI to VGA port, that is if you have both a DVI and VGA port in your video card. The DualHead2Go basically extends your start bar across two monitors, extends your viewing to 2560x1024, and when it comes to wanting things on one screen, well... you can't run FS9 full screen, only windowed mode, shrunk to fit on one monitor. Bela Szucs 1118447 Posted June 26, 2010 at 03:17 PM Author Posted June 26, 2010 at 03:17 PM I forgot to mention I have fsx. I saw a used/refurbished model online for 120. What do you mean by dvi to vga adapter? I have both vga and dvi output, I have two monitors. I can have the panel or vc mode on one and I can put some gages and the gps on the other, I was planning to buy a third monitor and have the panel and outside view on two and still have gps or what have you on the 3rd. I am not sure how it will work out I just wanted some opinions, I may also buy track IR. Is that going to slow down the PC? Ivan Kovacevic 920456 Posted June 27, 2010 at 10:29 AM Posted June 27, 2010 at 10:29 AM What exactly is the point of that product? Graphics cards these days easily support two monitors, ATI cards support up to three monitors.
Sean Harrison Posted June 27, 2010 at 12:52 PM Posted June 27, 2010 at 12:52 PM Glad I saw this post. I have a computer running dual monitors at the moment, but I wanted to add a small touch screen that I bought for the FMC. I was thinking of a DualHead2Go, but am second thinking now. My mother board won't fit another video card, so I may be limited. Your comments that all this product does is stretch your screen, confirms my fears. Thanks for the comments Chris.
