Davor Kusec 990407 Posted July 28, 2010 at 05:29 PM Posted July 28, 2010 at 05:29 PM Hello all! I recently installed a freeware scenery for FS9 but for whatever reason, the default scenery still appears there along with the add on scenery. The default buildings intersect with the add on ones. How do I manually get rid of the default scenery? Thanks! Davor Kusec Air Traffic Director | Northeast Region VATUSA Supervisor | VATSIM

Dredo Bird 1162588 Posted July 28, 2010 at 08:13 PM Posted July 28, 2010 at 08:13 PM Well, may be I say maybe .. You, worried about ,ils freq ( BGL) ,in this case ,how about scenery/cities that is :fs9/scenery/cities .chose city of intrest,go to scenery back it up (and delete (bgl)), new bgl takes over. to be honest haven't tried it if i have problem with a city scenery ,i fly another city. from using fsx (demo) couple of years, and it has no default scenery at all except st juliana airport, and and when you instal a scenery it takes its plce good. then, when install ne one same airport, you should delete (bgl's) in case new ones don't load or merge if they are different . to avoid that (make sure you backup bgl's) ,and remove it. As some air ports (big airports and not likely to change airports) they some time mor presistant in there own built nothing takes there place (big, bussy . or remote etc ..) , best backup and remove . you put them back when you want. Ernesto Alvarez 818262 Posted July 31, 2010 at 04:36 AM Posted July 31, 2010 at 04:36 AM the only 3 EWR sceneries for FS9 im aware of dont have autoinstallers theres this one http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=40398&CatID=fs2004scen kewr_v2.zip and kewr3.zip @ flightsim.com i tried all 3 until i went payware for newark. the free ones dont do it much justice, the first link really isnt that good and the second one is ok, third just replaces a few things. does it have a readme file? should tell you which one it is. my best guess would be either the installer didnt install an afcad or theres an exclude file missing
