I just find it distracting and have tried to remove it but it stays in place. Any ideas? Also, any suggestion for a better sound to alert me to text messages on frequency. The default sound just don't seem to get my attention while I am controlling and I end up unintentionally ignoring text messages (particularly if they are new and I have been on voice for a while). thanks, Mark. I really dislike the start-up sound so i used audacity to generate a few seconds of silence and replaced the start up sound with that...now my ear drums don't burst when i start ES.
