Luke Cunningham Posted August 5, 2010 at 07:04 PM Posted August 5, 2010 at 07:04 PM Hi All, After a few hours of testing, VATEUD now has it's own teamspeak server. Our server runs on teamspeak 2 only. You can connect by using this IP as the server address - 95.154.244.163. If there is no administrator online, you will not able to register but will still be able to use the server. There are a few individual rooms for vACC's, mentoring & pilots. Please be reminded that all activity in teamspeak is still subjected to the vatsim code of conduct. All server administrators are VATEUD staff only. You are also reminded that you must use your full name at all times. Come pay us a visit! See you soon, Luke Cunningham Senior Controller VATSIM United Kingdom

Daniel Eamon Brennan Posted August 9, 2010 at 11:33 PM Posted August 9, 2010 at 11:33 PM Hi Luke, Something I've noticed: When I log in as an unregistered user, I can freely move around the channels - with the exception of the Staff Room yet, when logged in with my registered user name, I can't seem to move out of the default Lobby. Seems like the permissions need to be tweaked. Daniel Eamon Brennan - C3
Callum Riseley 1058796 Posted August 10, 2010 at 09:48 AM Posted August 10, 2010 at 09:48 AM Everytime I've logged into this teamspeak server it has been empty. Smaller vACC's that don't have a teamspeak server should take full advantage of this server! They really are useful for co-ordination, training and just having a community chat! Where this will really come in handy is, inter vACC events etc. Just wait for the word to get around and there should be people using it, I'd have thought Daniel Eamon Brennan - C3

Thx for letting me know this via the vatsim forum EDIT: just a hint: your server version is out of date ... in this version there are some security bugs Maybe it is better to use a newer version of ts2? Mark-Julius Pikat 1157415 Posted August 28, 2010 at 09:49 AM Posted August 28, 2010 at 09:49 AM Would be good if you'd set up the server on TeamSpeak 3 engine... Kai Klingenberg 827617 Posted August 28, 2010 at 04:32 PM Posted August 28, 2010 at 04:32 PM Just a side note of TS3: Of course, TS3 has very nice features and also a better voice engine. But at this time, TS3 developement is adding new functions and also fixing bugs (which still there!). Additional TS3 devs are changing somtimes some settings in the database structure (put new or delete things) and changing values on both sides (server and client). We can use TS3, but with all the problems which are come up, if somthing changes (and there are changes in the line). This is why TS3 is only at beta status atm As TS3 is in beta status, vatsim germany decides not to switch to TS3 before TS3 is at least on RC status. I'am supporter on the offical TS3 public server, so the above information are from first hand (PS: the logon sytem from TS3 server is completely different from TS2. If there is a datalink from a webdatabase to the TS3 database some changes on the both sides are necessary.)
