Tim Reeves 865270 Posted August 12, 2010 at 12:17 AM Posted August 12, 2010 at 12:17 AM I have been pulling my hair out trying to install the newest AIRAC 1008 to my FSNavigator. I downloaded the appropriate file "FSNAV_1008", unzipped and ran the installer. The ISEC and AIRWAY files in the Program Files>Microsoft Games>FS9>Modules>FSNavigator>Bin were changed, but there is no change when I open FSNav in FS2004. I have run the FSNavDBC file from within the above mentioned folder, with no success. I have read every post I can find on numerous forums and I can't find an answer as to why I can't get mine to work. The usual answer seems to be running FSNavDBC. Ive done that over and over. I have uninstalled FSNavigator, reinstalled... no success. I have left the new ISEC and AIRWAY files and uninstalled/reinstalled the program, and the new intersections still don't show when I open FS. I have opened the ISEC file in Wordpad and all the missing intersections are in the file. Why won't FSNavigator load them? I've seen other posts with similar problems, but they seemed to be resolved by just running the FSNavDBC. Might isn't. Any one else been able to overcome this problem or have any other ideas? Thanks, Tim
Ernesto Alvarez 818262 Posted August 12, 2010 at 12:26 AM Posted August 12, 2010 at 12:26 AM mine installed just fine. simply run the installer, then when its done, run fsnavdbc, then when thats done, start FS. your fsnav is registered right? not running the demo mode? Tim Reeves 865270 Posted August 12, 2010 at 01:19 AM Author Posted August 12, 2010 at 01:19 AM As far as I know, it is not running in Demo mode. I have entered my registration info. Is there a way to make sure that it has accepted it? I believe I've ran this install more than 20 times, so I [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ume it is registered. Ernesto Alvarez 818262 Posted August 12, 2010 at 01:36 AM Posted August 12, 2010 at 01:36 AM not that i can remember, youll know once it goes past the 10 day trial (think it was 10 days). if you can still see the waypoints and airports after that, its fine, if it goes blank, then your info is incorrect as far as the airac, is it from navigraph? if so, you may need to run the installer as administrator probably if you are using win Vista or Win7. youll have to confirm that with navigraph tho
