Daniel Macfarlane 1033470 Posted September 24, 2010 at 01:31 PM Posted September 24, 2010 at 01:31 PM In the first video , you say that Torontos apron's aren't controlled, but in real life they are by Lane Control. Is it just a preference not to control them?
Mark Wolpert Posted September 30, 2010 at 05:41 PM Author Posted September 30, 2010 at 05:41 PM (edited) Daniel, I think that is correct that they are controlled in RW but on vatsim with traffic volumes etc. we do not control the apron. For very large events like Cross the Pond we do add additional levels of control for the apron by having jets taxi out and hold short of the first taxiway pending further instructions. Mark.
