Steve Cole 1167727 Posted September 14, 2010 at 01:54 AM Posted September 14, 2010 at 01:54 AM Don't know if anybody might have some suggestions on this or maybe I am just missing the obvious. The problem I am having is that after a few minutes of inactivity the windows 7 autolock feature engages and logs me off, even when in flight. Now I have adjusted all features of power settings to none. I have screen savers off, and have unticked on resume display logon screen. I have even tried it with a screen saver and a setting of wait 400 before enabled. Nothing seems to work, any help greatly appreciated. Charan Kumar Posted September 14, 2010 at 02:04 AM Posted September 14, 2010 at 02:04 AM In your power options, there is a scheme that will be used. You may have to edit it and change it to "Never" for sleep, hibernate, screen off etc. I actually set screen off at around 2-4 hrs just in case. Richard Gerrish Posted September 14, 2010 at 04:04 AM Posted September 14, 2010 at 04:04 AM make sure that you set your screen saver to either None or 2 to 4 hours and that On resume, display logon screen is NOT checked. To get to the screen saver options. right click on your desktop, left click Personalize bottom right corner of the window you'll see screen saver left click it'll open another window select either None or or set the time on minutes that you want it to wait for inactivity before turn the saver on. Charan Kumar Posted September 14, 2010 at 07:07 AM Posted September 14, 2010 at 07:07 AM I have my comp set to auto log on, as in no log on screen. I understand you would want to have it for security reasons. I think that affects it and kinda why I got rid of it, not sure though. If you think you are ok with it, you should try that. You must be able to remove that in the UAP. When is your next Flight||VATSIM HitSquad Member, ZOA/ZAK/GANDER/P1
Steve Cole 1167727 Posted September 15, 2010 at 03:25 AM Author Posted September 15, 2010 at 03:25 AM Yeah had tried that as well. One thing that I had never done was actually use the screen saver on this pc so I set it up for 10 min ticked the display logon screen let it kick in and then unticked again the display logon screen and turned off the screen saver... So far it hasent locked out. Keeping fingers crossed.
