Timothy Suckow 847603 Posted November 8, 2005 at 04:47 PM Posted November 8, 2005 at 04:47 PM Hi All.... The World Flight into Honolulu on November 8 was very successful! Our main airport, Honolulu International PHNL, was fully manned for the event from Clearance Delivery on up. We had a little over 20 arrivals within one hour for the inbounds. The outbounds to SFO were no problem, and they were separated by staggered takeoffs. It did appear near the end of the event, that there was an active race going on between the Boeings and Airbuses! The WF guys were superb pilots! They were courteous, and took ATC instruction with no problem! Because of this, there were no delays for their arrival, and no holding patterns were necessary. A few of them did show up in our airspace somewhat on top of each other, but a little wag here, and a little wag there took care of that! I would really like to thank the World Flight Ausralia group for choosing our airspace as a refueling point. We enjoyed having them! - Tim ZHN ARTCC Training Administrator VATSIM 847603
Terrence Scanlan Posted November 9, 2005 at 05:13 AM Author Posted November 9, 2005 at 05:13 AM Thanks for the feedback Timothy, it was a pleasure to fly to PHNL and I think will always be included in our planning. At the time of writing this we are presently departing from LIMA and can report excellent service from their Controllers as well. One thing that is very pleasing is the pilots that fly along with us. A couple of the STV guys have been with us from Sydney..amazing!! Thanks once again and as ARNIE say's..."I'LL BE BACK" Terry Scanlan On Behalf Of The World Flight Group Terry Scanlan http://www.hars.org.au http://www.worldflight.com.au
