Pm/msg sup

I tried to do a online flight last night and was doing everything wrong before I even left the gate. Then I get a msg in red that says - pvt msg th sup- so I hit enter and typed hello and hit enter to send but atc responded,well it turns out that I'm supposed to type in the sup box to communicate with the sup. Can someone tell me how to separate atc from th sup

The way atc explained it made it sound like the sup (which I guess is supervisor)was typing in there own box and I was responding in the atc box but they were the same box. Just trying to avoid another issue

You can also send messages privately directly to a user by using the syntax

A handy key is the "Reply to Last PM" key, which is numberpad-asterisk by default. Hitting the asterisks on your number pad will bring up the chat window with ".msg " and the callsign of the last person to Private Message you already filled in. Just type your message and hit return. Use the tab key to bring up the last radio transmissions if they have disappeared and you must review one. You can use the page up/page down/end/home keys to scroll through a history of the last 1000 radio messages.

Ok the asterisk key worked perfect but the tab button controls the inet menu so now I canTurn that off and the up/down keys only show mesages I typed. So I'm trying to figure it out and that's important cause I need to read and copy stuff down to fast that I'm missing info unless I type a period and send it so it shows the screen again. Thanks for your help though. Tim
