Eldon Wilson 1075625 Posted October 23, 2010 at 05:30 AM Posted October 23, 2010 at 05:30 AM I am having an issue in that I am unable to right click a controllers voice atis and monitor the recording while controlling myself. It is even more frustrating when on as an instructor and not able to review a students recording. Just did a raft of comparisons with another controller on line and found nothing different between the VRC set up. In all cases he could hear but I could not. I am controlling CZVR as CTR and had one time CYYC KSEA and CYYJ all posting the atis, I could that evening monitor CYYJ but not the other two. So begs the question, I could never hear anyone then I may have a set up issue, but when I can hear one out of three, there must be another answer. I would appreciate any help in this matter Regards Eldon CZVR C1 Vatcan NTU Software Specialist Vactan P1 instructor Vatcan21 NTU Manager CZVR C1 I1

Richard Gerrish Posted October 23, 2010 at 05:38 AM Posted October 23, 2010 at 05:38 AM have to agree with Ernesto on this one. I have intermittent issues with it as well and that's how i get around it Richard Gerrish Developer, STM Applications Group
William Lewis Posted October 23, 2010 at 11:45 PM Posted October 23, 2010 at 11:45 PM Most of the time it is because of firewalls on your router that effect the Override Intercom and Monitor features. It is well worth it to open the correct ports to allow incoming data to the correct machine. I have set mine up and ever since i have had no trouble with these features. I even have controllers that i try to call with the intercom and they close it and then send a PM to me saying it never works for them. I then hit them with an Override which opens there mic and I hear them just fine, and ask them to at least try before they just shut it off and [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ume that it does not work.
