VATEUD Seeks a Web Services Director (VATEUD7)

VATEUD is now accepting applications for the position of Web Services Director.

 

Hans Utne has decided to retire from VATSIM in any official capacity and simply enjoy the network as a user going forward. When Hans accepted the position in May of this year he made it very clear to us that he would step down before the end of the year so for us there is no surprise.

 

Specific duties:

• Manage and maintain the VATEUD web

• Manage and maintain the Division's sub-webs

• Manage and maintain the VATEUD Staff Forum

• Manage the VATEUD staff Email system

• Provide web support to VATEUD Staff

• Lead and manage the VATEUD Web Services Team

 

Required qualifications:

• Familiar with the VATSIM and VATEUD organization

• Be a member in good standing of a VATEUD vACC (rating is not a factor for this position)

• Able to work in a team

• Basic knowledge of HTML programming

• Basic knowledge of PHP programming

• Basic knowledge of MySQL databases

• Knowledgeable in use, configuration and maintenance of Joomla CMS

• Basic knowledge in use, configuration and maintenance of php-based discussion forums (phpBB/SMF/etc)

 

Desirable qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of phpMyAdmin (MYSQL online admin tool)

• Basic knowledge of TeamSpeak use, and server configuration (voice server)

• Basic knowledge of CPanel (online web server admin tool)

• Director VATSIM Europe Division (VATEUD1)

VATEUD7 is a senior staff position with full voting rights within the staff member team of the European Division of VATSIM.
