Lance Williams Posted November 5, 2005 at 06:04 PM Posted November 5, 2005 at 06:04 PM To Boston ATC last night, Last night was Awesome! To you and Everyone that controlled last night I send a HUGE thank you for coming out and supporting TGIF with some outstanding ATC coverage. Weather conspired against you somewhat with a limit of one landing runway, which made for a fun night with a hold (although not a very long one, maybe a couple circuits). Boston, your ATC was top notch and I thank you once again for coming out! From my end it looked like the servers held up pretty well too, so a great time was had by most! I know the VCA pilots had a great time and loved your ATC as expressed on our company voice channel. Let me not forget Cleveland, Washington DC and New York as well. You guys all worked great together last night! As a pilot I only expeirenced Boston and Cleveland ATC so don't know exactly what it was like in DC or New York, but Cleveland was swamped as well with departures out of Cleveland and p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]-thru traffic. You guys make these TGIF's FUN FUN FUN! Thank you! Lance Williams Chief Executive Officer Virtual Continental Airlines www.vcair.com Thank you, Lance W. Ross Carlson Posted November 5, 2005 at 06:39 PM Posted November 5, 2005 at 06:39 PM Thanks Lance, we had a blast too! The TGIF pilots were top-notch as usual. Every instruction was followed perfectly. Other ZBW staff members said that last night was the smoothest any event has ever been, due to the competency of the pilots, and the fact that there were no server splits. Can't wait for the next one! Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC

Michael Pedde 918614 Posted November 7, 2005 at 05:05 AM Posted November 7, 2005 at 05:05 AM My home hub is KBOS, most of my flights for my VA are outside Bostons control, but I leave and come home to 110% professional ATC's. Bryan Wollenberg 810243 Posted November 7, 2005 at 10:47 AM Posted November 7, 2005 at 10:47 AM Missed the event unfortunately, but flew into Boston a week or so ago. Top notch ATC all the way. Great job guys! Bryan Wollenberg ZLA!
Keith Smith Posted November 7, 2005 at 09:53 PM Posted November 7, 2005 at 09:53 PM I've only flown Boston a handful of times, but each and everytime, the service has been excellent, even from the nervous little Irish fella. It's a big call to get quality service from GND and TWR all the way up through APP and CTR, but that's exactly what I've observed each time I'm there. CYYYYYA. Andrew Musselman Posted November 7, 2005 at 10:24 PM Posted November 7, 2005 at 10:24 PM I did 2 flights inbound, the second one I had to be vectored north and slowed down for about 20 minutes...then I had to go into a 15 minute hold. But of course you Boston controllers are some of the best of vatsim so I didn't mind listening to the great ATC... Great job guys!
