Brendan Lynch 1167842 Posted December 8, 2010 at 09:27 PM Posted December 8, 2010 at 09:27 PM For Plugins is for CSL kits. I won't go into detail with those, hopefully there is a topic or two in this forum discussing that. "plugins" is where I have XsquawkBox_VATSIM.xpl, and I easily fly online. And yes, that was the full name of file.
Jordan Krushen 1135174 Posted December 8, 2010 at 09:37 PM Posted December 8, 2010 at 09:37 PM Both XSquawkBox_VATSIM.xpl and the XSquawkBox Resources folder should be in your X-Plane 9/Resources/plugins folder.

Jordan Krushen 1135174 Posted December 8, 2010 at 11:13 PM Posted December 8, 2010 at 11:13 PM heres what i go it like-X-plane 9 / Resources / Plugins / xsquawkbox resources folder / xsquawkbox_vatsim.xpl X-plane 9 / Resources / Plugins / xsquawkbox resources folder / for plugins X-plane 9 / Resources / Plugins / xsquawkbox_vatsim.xpl is that right or wrong? Wrong First, delete all of the above. Then, re-unzip xsb_mac_vatsim_1.0.3b1.zip. Go into the for plugins folder folder, and drag the two items comprising the contents of this folder (not the folder itself) into the X-Plane 9/Resources/plugins folder. You should be dragging the .xpl file and the XSquawkBox Resources folder into X-Plane's plugins folder. Then give it a whirl.

Keith Smith Posted December 9, 2010 at 05:57 PM Posted December 9, 2010 at 05:57 PM Matthew, the 'for plugins folder' implies that the contents of the folder should be moved into the plugins folder...not the entire folder itself. You should have the XPL file in your plugins folder. In the plugins folder, you should have an XSquawkbox Resources folder. In the XSquawkbox Resources folder, you should have: airlines.txt some CSV files lights.png liveries.txt related.txt and very importantly, a CSL folder. It's not working because the plugin (the XPL file) is expecting files to be in certain places, and you haven't put them there.
