Darren Elliott 821008 Posted December 8, 2010 at 07:02 PM Posted December 8, 2010 at 07:02 PM Im with a VA called buffalo virtual airlines. Most of our flying is in the north of canada like yellowknife and hay river. Once and a while one of the atc center comes on and its great to talk to them and fly with them. However ive rarely ever seen a tower or groun or APP with the name yellowknife attached to it.. is there anyway we could get some atc up there to fly with?? its very lonely there most times. I dont know the FIR's area very well and how far north it extends...would be nice to get a tower up there sometime btw we buffalo piots have our own teamspeak server... http://youtube.com/darrenvox
Keith Smith Posted December 8, 2010 at 07:05 PM Posted December 8, 2010 at 07:05 PM The very best place to ask this would be here. Asking a completely regional question in a global/general forum doesn't scale well.
Ernesto Alvarez 818262 Posted December 8, 2010 at 07:13 PM Posted December 8, 2010 at 07:13 PM dont forget online we have "top down" service. so even if theres no approach or tower, center will cover those positions. that is, [Mod - Happy Thoughts]uming the airport has those services in the real world. ive only flown into yellowknife a few times, cant remember if edmenton center was covering that or not but you can definitely ask at vatcan and theyll let you know
