Hello Guys

wanted to ask for your opinions regarding this PC ?

http://www.compume.com/index.php?target=products&product_id=33171

How many FPS do you expect it to give with FSX installed and the longly awaited PMDG 737NGx ?

Anybody have experienced FS9/X with Touch screens ? does it make a big difference for the experience or realism - apart from the FMC that could be really programmed - ?

Looking forward for your advices !!!

the 'kinda a' videocard - NVIDIA® GeForce® 320M GT

M = modile = lowpower = not designed for gaming ... ESPECIALLY FS.

until you get above 4GHz by overclocking the CPU FSX performance is very much a compromise. even above 4GHz you sill cannot run 'everything full right with 100% AI, etc.

the computer you reference is 'light duty' IMO. these 'one touch' systems are really just 'look good on the desk' computers not designed for games. Internet, word processing and watching movies ... fine. FS a big NO.

you are beter off looking into building your own -

  • fastest i-type Intel CPU that you can afford and overclock above 4GHz
  • MOBO that allows for and has good support for overclocking
  • excellent CPU cooler (for overclocking)
  • CPU case that has good/excellent cooling fans and vents
  • good GPU ... the best, newest and most expensive isn't needed as FS is CPU bound and the latest GPUs are using technology FS doesn't use
