Hi everyone. First off apologies if this is posted in the wrong place. I've been searching and looking but to no avail, so I decided to throw out a question here and see if someone can point me in the right direction.

I just heard of vatsim, and I'm interested in learning to be a controller. Naturally, the first thing I did was to register an account and grab one of the client softwares. I went for VRC just because it was at the top of the list. Now what? I've connected to the EUROPE-C2 server from the program as an observer, but the radar image is all blank, and how do I know what frequencies to listen to? I feel like there should be a "quickstart guide" somewhere, but maybe I'm just not looking in the correct place. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hello Filip, welcome around

Decide first the division you would like to control in, enrol there, and look for the staff of that division and ask them how to get started there. They will help you with the atc client, and everything. Also you might want to have a look on http://www.vatsim.net/atc/atctraining/ and www.vateud.net at training department section:

Good luck

If you choose the European division of VATEUR here is it's website, very rich in info:

http://www.vateud.org

You must then choose your vACC (normally the country you live in) and contact the vACC's ATC training department. The contact listings for the ATC training departments is available here:

Filip, you sound like you're Swedish or at least scandinavian, so if you want any help feel free to send me a PM and I'll see what I can do (det finns hjälp att tillgå på svenska om det föredras också ).
