Andreas Fuchs Posted December 11, 2004 at 11:02 AM Posted December 11, 2004 at 11:02 AM You guys and girls might be interested in some pictures of NZ from above! I travelled down to CHC last year in april and rented an aeroplane at the CAC (Canterbury Aeroclub), flying around for almost two weeks. You can find lots of pictures of my trip and of your great islands at my homepage (+400 pixtures, 40 MB, several chapters with thumbnails). Have fun! Ian Mitchell 811236 Posted December 18, 2004 at 10:44 PM Posted December 18, 2004 at 10:44 PM Hi Andreas, What a fantastic record of your New Zealand holiday. The photos and commentary were teriific. As an Australian living in Melbourne, I lived in New Zealand for three years in the 80's and loved it. The folk are very friendly, and there is so much to see as you showed. Laughed at your spelling of Kangaroo. Well done. And of course I remember you well from FSBUILD2 days. Merry Christmas. Cheers Ian M

Andreas Fuchs Posted April 18, 2005 at 12:11 PM Author Posted April 18, 2005 at 12:11 PM Hi there! I am currently in Hamilton. We will depart tomorrow morning with ZK-UFS, a rusty but solid Piper Archer II As there's a cold front coming in from the southwest, we will try to fly as far south as possible, our first destination will probably be Nelson or Kaikoura, depending on our mood. Christchurch will be the next place to touch down, but it is not yet decided whether it will be on the way down south (to Queenstown) or on the way back north later. Probably we gonna have a free seat for a flight around CHC, you are welcome to book flights with Fox International Airways Best is if you send me your contact-details via e-mail, if you wish to meet a bunch of crazy Germans... pilot_(at)_gmx.net_ (remove the "_"). Andreas Fuchs Posted April 28, 2005 at 10:59 PM Author Posted April 28, 2005 at 10:59 PM Hi Beverley! Finally I find the time to answer here.... we are currently in Ahipara in a truely great backpacker called "Endless Summer Lodge". It is like a hotel indeed, 90 mile beach is 50m from the doorstep! It was a pleasure to meet you, Beverley, down in Christchurch! That's how I know VATSIM: you meet people even at the end of the world and you understand each other. You can be sure that I will be back on some nice day, I like these two islands (and I still have to see NZ's third island ). Again thanks for meeting us crazy Krauts, see you next time and I will fly in NZ on VATSIM as well!
