Vojislav Markovic 943817 Posted November 11, 2005 at 10:01 AM Posted November 11, 2005 at 10:01 AM well, we all read al ot about germany switzerland and austria, thats ok so far but let us open our eyes a little bit more. any pilots experienced the approach at LYBE? any comments on that? as i often use the belgrade international i can see JAT and several southern companies but unfortunetly no lufthansa, air berlin, swiss and austrian like in the real world. that is really a shame, becaurse our ATC is among the best out there. if anyone try a flight to LYBE let me know. Daniel Roesen Posted November 11, 2005 at 12:17 PM Posted November 11, 2005 at 12:17 PM Hi, I cannot see any LYBE ATC bookings at EuroBook (www.euro-book.net), so I don't know when ATC will be there. So don't be surprised that you don't see a lot of pilots flying there. My time's much too valuable to me to make a 30-60 minutes flight preparation to some airport which is 2-3 hours flight away just to see their ATC staffing going offline before I arrive (or even manage to actually depart). Regards, Daniel
Vojislav Markovic 943817 Posted November 11, 2005 at 06:57 PM Author Posted November 11, 2005 at 06:57 PM daniel, you are not the only one whose time is valuable. the same ATC situation happened to me in Germany , Austria and Switzerland and so what, i still fly in that region. Why should Belgrade ATC stnad in euro books? Just check the SCG Vatsim and you will see the times ATC is available there. By the way Belgrade international is not a airport somewhere, it is an airport in the heart of Europe. If you check the times Belgrade Int is providing ATC you will be guided like in other regions. . People who hurry usually don´t see the best. Cheers, Voki
