Cannot log into any VATSIM servers using XPlane

I have the VATSIM addon installed, but when I try and say connect to UK-1 - i get a message cannot resolve host name!

 

Any suggestions

When you say VATSIM addon you mean the XSP Plug-in?

 

Does this happen with just the UK-1 server, 80.249.98.88? Try a different server and see if it's just a problem with that one. I'm in the USA and I sometimes have trouble with USA-S3 (66.221.192.84).

Yes its the XSP one - I have tried other servers as well - and my firewall is tuned off

 

And what port number should I be using ?

The port setting on mine is the default (I believe), which is 6809. I have never touched this since I installed it.

Well I am in now - I needed the Port Number and the IP address!
