John Brander 1112485 Posted January 10, 2011 at 08:38 PM Posted January 10, 2011 at 08:38 PM Hi I have a Euroscope log file and would like to make a movie of it, including the voice communication. Any suggestions of how to proceed? I run Windows 7. Best regards //John John Brander Vatsim Scandinavia Membership Director
Johan Grauers Posted January 11, 2011 at 04:46 PM Posted January 11, 2011 at 04:46 PM Fraps or some sort of screen capture program perhaps? Johan Grauers Event Coordinator - vACC Scandinavia
Jonas Eberle Posted January 11, 2011 at 05:01 PM Posted January 11, 2011 at 05:01 PM For I used an ES logfile and recorded it with CamStudio using 1 frame/second, keyframe each 20 frames. This keeps the video file relatively small and higher settings are not necessary as updates are drawn only each second any way. Using ES logfile has the huge advantage over driect screen capturing that you can adapt your TAG and screen settings to what you really want to show to your viewers. Don't forget to post the result here, please
Even Rognlien Posted January 12, 2011 at 11:09 AM Posted January 12, 2011 at 11:09 AM Here's one I made from CTP Eastbound 2010 using BSR screen recorder (the payware version): This was from a logfile I played at high speed in Euroscope while recording. Then I added even more speed in a video editor so the planes ran smoother.
John Brander 1112485 Posted January 16, 2011 at 03:33 PM Author Posted January 16, 2011 at 03:33 PM Thanks for the help. I used "Debut Video Capture Software" which was good and had nice mp4 compression. I had ILS training on Kalmar Airport (ESMQ) so this is not an interesting movie, at all But anyway; http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9968267/ESMQ-TWR.mp4 //John John Brander Vatsim Scandinavia Membership Director
Jonas Eberle Posted January 17, 2011 at 01:43 PM Posted January 17, 2011 at 01:43 PM John, .mp4 is the preferred upload format for YouTube (and other video portals, I think). If you upload it there, viewers can choose the graphics quality on their own which I find is a great benefit.
