David Neil 1016109 Posted January 12, 2011 at 09:06 PM Posted January 12, 2011 at 09:06 PM Gentlemen: The staff of the Pacific Airways Virtual Airline has asked me to contact you regarding an ongoing event that will involve your airspace during the next 9-10 days. They have initiated repetitive relief flights from the U.S. which will be arriving at Christchurch, New Zealand as a result of the flooding in Australia. These flights will be all "heavies" and will include legs from KMIA-KLAX, KLAX-PHNL, PHNL-NSTU, NSTU-NZCH. Similar past events such as Haiti Relief saw a substantial number of flights in the air, with participation sufficient to result in a fair ATC workload where available. This sequence commences on Saturday, January 8 and terminates on Sunday, January 16 (US time). This VA is quite active on VATSIM and is always appreciative of ATC services when they are received. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, or you may contact the airline's VP of Events, Jason Wadsworth at [email protected] Thank you for your cooperation.
