I have ES running on two screens. Second screen is fine.

Main screen is fine on the first SCT I pull up but second and third views flash like crazy. Any ideas? This seems to be an intermittent problem and I am unable to reproduce it. Vertical Sync seems to have no effect.

When it happens can you note what other programs/applications are running and open?

Yes,

No other programs running. I have a networked computer that I run anything else that I need like Firefox or Adobe for charts, etc.

I am running Microsoft Security Essentials and Nhancer (which starts default for my flying). Regardless of Nhancer profile (FSX, FS9 or VRC (vsync off)) this problem can happen. It is not 100% and I have gone months with no issues. Usually it happens when I am running fine and then due to runway change I load in new ASR files setup with the new runway config.

I know this is not much to go on. Next time I will try to run the log and if it happens I will send it to you.

Do you have some OpenGL driver options to play with? If ES is the only program flashing, I would try to fix it somewhere in the graphics driver (OpenGL).

From VRC we know some weird graphics behaviour which can be fixed by lowering the "hardware acceleration" slider. This can be found via Monitor Settings->Settings->Advanced->Problems (in Win XP, translated from German).

ES doesn't use any drawing acceleration like DirectX or OpenGL, it is a pure C++/MFC drawing.

Reduce your hardware acceleration on the second pc.

I might be confused with a VRC issue there. But certainly sounds like a gfx card issue.

OK, I will see what I can do with my graphics settings to fix this problem.
