Lukas Kulik 917478 Posted December 11, 2004 at 01:00 PM Posted December 11, 2004 at 01:00 PM hi, i've got a question to AVC,..which "Vatsim Authorization Server" do i have to enter? I mea do i have to change it everytime I'm in another server? For example i'm flying in the Uk-1 server and AVC is also UK- 1..and after that i want to fly in the Europe CE server,so do i have to change also in AVC to Europe CE server or doesn't it matter which Authorization server there is in AVC? thanks for replies ahh, something else, when I want to connect to Squawkbox, FS9 always went to Windows mode,i mean back to windows desktop,...hmmm,and that cost some time always to change....does someone know how i can fix that? I mean that the Fs9 window doesn't vanish (not changing onto the windows desktop) when i want to get a connection or file a flight plan in Squawkbox. thanks for help Lukas Regards, Lukas Kulik VATSIM Supervisor vACC-Germany
Lennart Vedin Posted December 11, 2004 at 02:16 PM Posted December 11, 2004 at 02:16 PM > which "Vatsim Authorization Server" do i have to enter? The logic answer is to any server, it doesn't matter at all where you fly. However for reliable connection it can matter where your computer are connected. Check in ServInfo page "Network Server" for fast reliable connection for you, apply both for Squawkbox and for Vatsim Authorization Server. Then you don't need to change it if you don't have problem with disconnectiing. For the voice server, you can't select server. Voice server is selected automatically to the current by ATC used. Notice. The "Vatsim Authorization Server" only in interval verify you still connected to the network. If not still connected it force close also voice connection. / Lennart Vedin /
Richard Critz Posted December 13, 2004 at 06:16 PM Posted December 13, 2004 at 06:16 PM Also, please note that there isn't any such thing as "flying in the UK-1 server" or flying in any other server. If you are connected to one, you are visible to all. You should connect to the one that gives you the best internet response time without regard for where it or you are located or where you are flying (virtually). The best recommendation for AVC is to use the same server in AVC as you use in SB. cz Richard Critz VP/Development (VATSIM26/VATGOV5) VATSIM Board of Governors VATSIM Network Team
