Steve Foster 909749 Posted November 16, 2005 at 03:58 PM Posted November 16, 2005 at 03:58 PM This may be an old question but how do I get the right plane livery. I use a B737-400 as selected in FS9 (Pacific Airways) and select a 737-400 in SB3 for Northwest Airlines. When I see the plane or others see the plane, it appears as the default b737-400 and does not have the NWA color scheme. Would appreciate a bit of help in setting up the correct colors even if I have to change to another airline. Regards, SteveRF
Richard Walsh Posted November 16, 2005 at 04:40 PM Posted November 16, 2005 at 04:40 PM Depends on if NWA flys the 400. If they dont Joel probably didnt include it. I know if I choose the 767-300 for Continental that it shows up as the VIP but if I choose the 200 or 400 its shows up in COA colors. COA doesnt fly the 300. So maybe thats why. Daniel Finney 810884 Posted November 16, 2005 at 08:46 PM Posted November 16, 2005 at 08:46 PM Steve If you want to use the B737-400 in FS, here are all the ICAO codes of the airlines that are represented in the SB3 VIP3 Livery Selection menu. AAL AAR ACA ADH AEA AFL AMC ANZ APS ARG ASA AUA BAG BAL BAW BMA BRA CRL CSA DAL DLH EIN ELL ELY ESK FUA GIA GLO HLF HSK ICE JAL JAT JEX KLM LGL LOT MAH MAS OAL PAL PGT QFA RAM ROT RYR RZO SHT SIH SLR THA THY USA VEX (VIP) VOZ VRG VSP WEA Regardless of which colour scheme you have on your FS aircraft, other online users will only see you as what you select from the SB VIP3 Livery Selection menu providing that there is a livery/type specific match in the VIP.SMS listing. If the airline livery that you choose does not match the aircraft type in the VIP.SMS file, you will show up to other online pilots in the stock VIP Blue and White Livery. Look in your Squawkbox3 folder, locate the file (VIP.SMS) and open it using notepad. DO NOT make any changes to the file, but just have a look in the listing and you will see which aircraft types are available to each airline/operator. Richard You are quite correct, the B767-300srs is not replicated in the SB3 VIP.SMS listing. If you wish to look at what will be included in the next release of VIP3 for SB3, take a peek here. Hope this helps, Best Regards D Finney www.kadair.org.uk
