Is anyone else experiencing problems accessing the http://www.vatsim-uk.org website? Has it moved? I am feeling very alone at the moment!

Best wishes,

Adrian Lucas

Hi Adrian,

The VATSIM-UK website migrated to its new server a few weeks back and has only been offline for 4 minutes in the last month... What do you get if you try to access http://178.32.86.103/ or http://178.32.86.102/? What about http://www.vatsim-uk.co.uk/?

Regards,

A...

It had stopped working for me for a few while. I don’t know how long, but I check a few days apart. All my stored links stopped working. I also did Google searches and the linked in Google didn’t work either for a while. My stored links were in the form of:

http://www.vatsim-uk.org/community/index.php?showtopic=15445 (which still doesn’t work).

I had tried many times http://www.vatsim-uk.org . Eventually with Google I found a

http://vatsim-uk.ro.uk (which worked)

So if you have linked, some of them might not work. But currently typing in http://www.vatsim-uk.org will be resolved to the new site address. From my machine, only some of the links to specific messages of the old address fails. I fixed most of my frequent bookmarks.

So you weren't totally alone in having problems accessing the site for a while.

Edit: I see Anthony posted a description while I was typing. While the transfer may have taken minutes, it took some time for all the changes to be propagated. Sine links might not be resolved under the new address.

Thanks both for your replies. the "co.uk" site works fine for me...I wonder whether the web forwarding needs to be amended if the "org" address is still to be maintained??

Thanks again,

Adrian
