john fautley 1176199 Posted January 31, 2011 at 02:36 PM Posted January 31, 2011 at 02:36 PM Hi folks. I have been advised to 'disable transparency settings' for my graphics card, to enhance performance with FSX. 1. Is this a good idea? 2. If it is, can you tell me the route on my 'puter to find the graphic card and it's settings Thank you. John
Darrol Larrok 1140797 Posted January 31, 2011 at 03:00 PM Posted January 31, 2011 at 03:00 PM Can you give any more detail about this suggestion? Were you told to disable transparency anti-aliasing? Also, what type of card is it.
john fautley 1176199 Posted January 31, 2011 at 03:28 PM Author Posted January 31, 2011 at 03:28 PM Yes I was told to disable anti aliasing, that's correct. The card is an Nvidia Gforce 6800 Thanks Darrol
Darrol Larrok 1140797 Posted January 31, 2011 at 10:02 PM Posted January 31, 2011 at 10:02 PM Okay, that would be in your control panel under Nvidia control panel. Go to profiles select "Microsoft Flight Simulator X, find transparency anti aliasing and just select 'disable'. Given the age of that card, I'm not sure how much improvement you'll get though.
