Luke Cunningham Posted February 7, 2011 at 01:43 PM Posted February 7, 2011 at 01:43 PM Hi All, Now that some of the voice servers have the ability to show who is transmitting, is there a way that this data could be used to create a VDF for euroscope? Just a thought... Regards, Luke Cunningham Senior Controller VATSIM United Kingdom
Stephan Boerner 945550 Posted February 7, 2011 at 01:59 PM Posted February 7, 2011 at 01:59 PM Is it docomeented how that works? I did not know that voiceservers support that now ... Jonas Eberle Posted February 16, 2011 at 10:22 AM Posted February 16, 2011 at 10:22 AM Some seem to have it nowadays: http://voice1.vacc-sag.org:18009/?opts=-R-D It shows the last one transmitting directly after the station name. Oh, getting the direction of the last transmitter in relation to a antenna would be great (or, less realistic but very helpful I guess, just see who was transmitting last). Why, there are real systems in use like that EuroScope BETA Tester/Board of Designers

Jonas Eberle Posted February 17, 2011 at 01:40 PM Posted February 17, 2011 at 01:40 PM Yep, that's just what I thought VFR Pilot requests a QDM/QDR, you look on your VDF screen and tell him. Anyway, it would be great to have the new info from voice server somehow in EuroScope.
Tom Uytterhoeven 1151895 Posted February 17, 2011 at 05:09 PM Posted February 17, 2011 at 05:09 PM Would this be used for the standard voice servers as well? Being Europe CW etc? Pavel Brodsky Posted October 17, 2014 at 09:51 AM Posted October 17, 2014 at 09:51 AM Hello, anybody knows why EUROPE-CE (europe-ce.vatsim.net:18009/?opts=-R-D) which we at VACC-CZ are using does not support this feature? Is it possible to ask somebody directly from VATSIM to check this out? Pavel Pavel Brodsky VACC-CZ
Callum Presley 975002 Posted January 11, 2015 at 03:11 PM Posted January 11, 2015 at 03:11 PM Is there any update on this project now that we have ES v3.2? It would be very useful even if it just shows QDM.
