Will FS9 ( forever favorite) work with a new Windows 7 Lap top computer out of the box?

It should work fine with regard to the OS, remember to run as admin.

But you should upgrade to FSX if the specs are appropriate, a few minor tweaks and it's pretty awesome.

pretty hard to say if itll work or not without any actual specs. your OS is not enough to even judge whether or not itll run it any good

Hi,

As Darrol said, it is no problem to install FS9 on your machine once you're installing and running as an admin.

However, I think Darrol is mixing up his 'shoulds' and 'coulds'. Yes, if your specs are good, you could upgrade. However, if you're happy and have a good collection of expensive add ons for FS9, then there's no VATSIM related need to upgrade. FS9 is supported just as much as FSX on VATSIM.

Cheers!
