Im brand new to Vatsim, I recently tried to get VATSIM working on FS9 but in order to do so I uninstalled my old version of FSINN and installed a new update, now FS9 will only show the opening screen and the main menu will show up for a second then vanish. I've tried uninstalling FSINN however the same problem happens. Can anyone help me fix this?

sounds like a corrupt DLL. uninstall FS9. delete the folder left behind and reinstall.

i dont know what new update to FSINN you are talking about, there are none

you could try moving the dll's out from the modules folder one by one and see if FS will start. move one out (dont delete), try to start FS, if it failes, put it back and try the next one, etc,.. etc..

if you've got multiple corrupt files youll be chasing your tail doing that tho.

other thing you can do is move your fs9.cfg to a temp folder and try to start FS, itll create a new one. you may need to reinstall some addons

ah nailed it! luckily it was a file that had been modified recently so it didn't take long to find, thanks a lot!
