Eric Bocaneanu 906549 Posted March 12, 2011 at 01:03 AM Posted March 12, 2011 at 01:03 AM Sure, when you think about Romania you think Eastern Bloc. But things have changed a lot since then. Each Monday we will show you something we think best describes Romania today. On the left you see something you well know: students celebrating the end of the December 1989 Revolution in Bucharest. On the right you can see the city of Sibiu, located in central Romania, in Transylvanian mountains. The municipality was created when Saxon colonists settled in the area. Until a while ago the ethnicity of Sibiu was mostly German and this is reflected in the architecture of the city. The 74 meter steeple you can see towering is part of the Sibiu Lutheran Cathedral. Following in the footsteps of last week's grand launch of ROvACC's Online Day these weeks we are concentrating on Bucharest-Otopeni (LROP) and Bucharest-Baneasa (LRBS) airports. Every Monday evening starting 1800 UTC and ending after 2100 UTC. If you were suprised last week be ready for more.
