Dimitri Molenaars 1186170 Posted March 16, 2011 at 01:24 PM Posted March 16, 2011 at 01:24 PM Hello, A friend and I would like to practice ATC/Pilot communication on a private network through hamachi, he uses FSX with Squawk box and i use EuroScope. My ports are open and the hamachi2 network is created, but how do we go from here? I tried Googling for "EuroScope LAN" but that didn't get me a solution, so i figured I'd ask it here. If needed, i have teamviewer installed... just saying. Signed, Dimitri "Tyrope" Molenaars
Wycliffe Barrett Posted March 16, 2011 at 01:51 PM Posted March 16, 2011 at 01:51 PM Sorry dude, It aint going to work. Well not in teh way your suggesting. Euroscope was developed for the VATSIM network and works with its protocols, essentially you are trying to create your own WAN. Are you even a VATSIM controller. Perhaps the easiest way for you to achieve your practicing is simply use skype and pretend. Dimitri Molenaars 1186170 Posted March 16, 2011 at 01:55 PM Author Posted March 16, 2011 at 01:55 PM Thanks Wycliffe, (sweet name btw) Currently i'm just OBS that p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]ed the S1 test (still waiting for recommendation by DutchVACC). My friend however has some VATSIM experience under his belt (as pilot though). he said it used to be possible. I guess he was mistaken. I'll just hop on as OBS when schiphol's empty and we'll use Xfire voice instead. Thanks again for the help! (this topic can be locked now.) Ernesto Alvarez 818262 Posted March 16, 2011 at 02:10 PM Posted March 16, 2011 at 02:10 PM you could try getting ATCSim 2. you can connect that to flightsim. I'll just hop on as OBS when schiphol's empty and we'll use Xfire voice instead. Thanks again for the help! you may want to check with your ACC what you are wanting to do cant be done on the network itself. you can use other programs, like ATCSim, to do it off the network however, what you do off the network is up to you

Ernesto Alvarez 818262 Posted March 16, 2011 at 02:49 PM Posted March 16, 2011 at 02:49 PM does not matter if theres pilots or controllers. logging in to the network as OBS and playing ATC is a nono, even if its with a friend get the ratings, then you'll be able to log in and control with no problem
