Brian Cheung 1181193 Posted March 21, 2011 at 01:51 PM Posted March 21, 2011 at 01:51 PM Hey fellow XP'ers, I've got Ted's scenery for Chicago (http://web.me.com/theosdavis/xpfiles/downloads.html). When flying on VATSIM, I uncheck "runways follow contours" to prevent FSX planes from "hovering". The downside with this is that some runways, specifically at ORD, are now lumpy. i.e. they are not flat. Any ideas on what I can/should do in this case? Brendan Lynch 1167842 Posted March 21, 2011 at 08:53 PM Posted March 21, 2011 at 08:53 PM Aircraft "Hover" because either you have the wrong altimeter setting or they do, not because of runways follow terrain contours (Sometimes, there are discrepencies in ground layouts and altitudes). Keith Smith Posted March 22, 2011 at 07:07 PM Posted March 22, 2011 at 07:07 PM No, they do hover because of the runway contour setting, as far as I know.
Brian Cheung 1181193 Posted March 22, 2011 at 07:38 PM Author Posted March 22, 2011 at 07:38 PM So I guess nobody else is having this problem with Ted's scenery package? Brian Cheung - 1181193 ZDC
Brendan Lynch 1167842 Posted March 22, 2011 at 08:53 PM Posted March 22, 2011 at 08:53 PM Oh, didn't know that Kieth. And I have other packages from Ted but have gotten used to aircraft hovering, especially at helicopter events.
