So I'll to change a new mic. For me , I prefer the headset mic. But someone said it's not professional sound. Because I am ATC and pilot both sir. As high as you can get it without peaking should be enough. This is known as normalizing the signal and you would always do this for any type of audio. As far as professional quality with regards to the microphone having a flat frequency response, there really is no need. No one is going to notice either way.
