Robert Bressert Posted March 23, 2011 at 02:12 PM Posted March 23, 2011 at 02:12 PM First, here's my system: i7 950 Processor (4x 3.06GHz/8MB L3 Cache) Liquid CPU Cooling System [sOCKET-1366] Standard 120mm Fan 6 GB [2 GB X3] DDR3-1600 - Corsair Brand NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 - 1GB - Single Card [sLI] MSI X58 PRO-E Motherboard 700 Watt – Power Supply 500 GB HARD DRIVE -- 16M Cache, 7200 RPM, 3.0Gb/s - Single Drive 3D Premium Surround Sound Onboard Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium - 64-Bit I'm running FSX Acceleration Expansion Package WHEN IT RUNS RIGHT, IT RUNS REALLY, REALLY WELL! GREAT FPS, SLIDERS PRETTY MUCH ALL THE WAY TO THE RIGHT, BUT....... As long as I'm not flying on Vatsim, I've never had a problem. I initially started out using FSinn. I've used FSinn on three computers, with FS9 and FSX and never had a problem. On the computer above I was constantly getting CTDs, usually with the sim1.dll error. I began using SB4 and ran it as a module within FSX but I was getting CTDs as well, though most them I could recover from. I began running SB4 outside FSX externally and for a month all has been well until last night. Another CTD that I could not recover from. I'm wondering if FSX plays well with a 64-bit OS? I've never had the scope and frequency of problems before with FSX or FS9 on the other computers I've had.
