Steve Foster 909749 Posted November 24, 2005 at 03:20 PM Posted November 24, 2005 at 03:20 PM (edited) If I resize the instrument panel in FS9 the audio stops. Nothing I can do to get it back other than disconnect, and reboot the PC. Anyone else seen this problem ? Arjan Harmans 882448 Posted November 25, 2005 at 10:33 PM Posted November 25, 2005 at 10:33 PM Hi Steve, First of all it sure helps if you state your computerspecs with problems like this. Second: yes, I used to have this problem. Never could fix it, finally bought a new (cheap but modern) soundcard. Problem gone, never had it since. But you see; without knowing what hardware you use this could be a useless advice
Jim Reichheld 893822 Posted November 25, 2005 at 10:57 PM Posted November 25, 2005 at 10:57 PM Yeah, a lot of the time it comes down to a driver problem.
Steve Foster 909749 Posted November 26, 2005 at 10:52 PM Author Posted November 26, 2005 at 10:52 PM Arjan, Thanks for the reply.... I have the Aureal Vortex 8830 Audio. After rebooting, the PC has sound again and will stay ok until I run FS9. The moment I move a window in FS the sound is gone until I reboot. That is not good in the middle of an approach with VATSIM ATC... Any suggestions for anyone would be appreciated. SteveRF
Steve Foster 909749 Posted November 27, 2005 at 01:07 AM Author Posted November 27, 2005 at 01:07 AM Problem Solved: I use the ATI Radeon 9600 AGP card. The latest update several weeks ago created the problem. The last update from ATI was on 11/10/05. That update caused the audio problems. Reverting to the Oct 05 update solved the problem.
