Michael Garrett Posted April 5, 2011 at 08:47 PM Posted April 5, 2011 at 08:47 PM Finally figured out how to split sound of voice to my headset (usb creative arena) and all other sounds thru the external speakers at the computer. However, when i monitor thru squawkbox, a frequency , the sound i hear just loops over and over and i have to exit FSX everytime to stop the repeating . THis is while connected live to VATSIM. any help would be appreciated. thank you
Sean Harrison Posted April 5, 2011 at 09:26 PM Posted April 5, 2011 at 09:26 PM Micheal it has been a while since I used SB, however I thought that you could select which sound device it should use. I have a SONY USB headset, and FS9 is set to the default device which is the computer Soundblaster card/speakers, and SB is set to output/input through the USB device. I'm sure that it worked, however I am now on FSInn, so can't really go back and check the settings I had. SB should have the setup page, where you can test the mic, and select which device for input and output. I'd steer clear of an additional piece of software if possible. Sean Harrison Posted April 6, 2011 at 12:38 PM Posted April 6, 2011 at 12:38 PM Yes, as Ernesto says. I did experience this on several occasions, and I fixed it by disconnecting from the voice room and reconnecting. You shouldn't need to restart FS or SB. Just try a manual disconnect from the voice room, and then reconnect. (Simplest way is to change frequency by 1 MHz and then back) Sean C1/O P3
Michael Garrett Posted April 7, 2011 at 01:46 AM Author Posted April 7, 2011 at 01:46 AM ok so far so good.. i ended up also deactivating the MSFS X internal "VOICE" checkbox in the settings / sound menu. Hopefully it continues to work. thanks!
Michael Garrett Posted April 9, 2011 at 10:29 PM Author Posted April 9, 2011 at 10:29 PM Hmm I guess its not fixed. I am now using FS Inn , and it seems i get the voice loop recieve still. I THINK** though, that it seems to only happen at CYXU London. Not sure why.
