Dave James 1018738 Posted June 25, 2011 at 11:55 PM Posted June 25, 2011 at 11:55 PM Negative at time of posting board time, forum either. As I wont be sleeping anyway, negative to that either Will be back soon as usual no doubt Thomas. EDIT: from the uk main site timed as edited (0019z): There is a problem with the vatsim-uk database. The UK website, forum and RTS system will be operating at a limited capacity until this is resolved. You should still be able to access the vatsim.net forums. Knowing the guys at the helm, they will be working on it. Johan Grauers Posted June 26, 2011 at 11:23 AM Posted June 26, 2011 at 11:23 AM I like the fact that the forums are telling me that it's my SQL-server that's faulty and that I should fix it But hopefully this isn't the case then if they're down for everyone Johan Grauers Event Coordinator - vACC Scandinavia
Harry Williams 1141715 Posted June 26, 2011 at 12:54 PM Posted June 26, 2011 at 12:54 PM (edited) Afternoon guys! Apologies for the late reply, both me and Chris have been out this morning and haven't been able to do much. It seems we have a problem at the datacenter... There have been a number of connection issues at the datacenter due to routing issues. The Engineers at the datacenter are aware of the problem and it seems there is a router which is in need of replacement. We anticipate all connections to be stable again within 1-2 hours. However! It should be fixed soon. Keep checking for updates. Harry Williams 1141715 Posted June 26, 2011 at 04:29 PM Posted June 26, 2011 at 04:29 PM Just to note, as when we had downtime of the site last time, there was a mixture of students and mentors alike not making or turning up to sessions. If you have a session confirmed, then please turn up for it. Craig Phillips 947617 Posted June 26, 2011 at 05:34 PM Posted June 26, 2011 at 05:34 PM Just to note, as when we had downtime of the site last time, there was a mixture of students and mentors alike not making or turning up to sessions. If you have a session confirmed, then please turn up for it. I'm trying to sum 1 and 1 to make 6, it won't work... How does mentors or student not turning up for sessions effect the server availability? Thomas George 827476 Posted June 26, 2011 at 05:56 PM Posted June 26, 2011 at 05:56 PM It doesn't but I think some people last time couldn't log into the RTS system and so thought "Oh well, the mentoring session must be off then." Harry's just making the point that the show will go on. Thomas George
Harry Williams 1141715 Posted June 26, 2011 at 06:01 PM Posted June 26, 2011 at 06:01 PM It doesn't but I think some people last time couldn't log into the RTS system and so thought "Oh well, the mentoring session must be off then." Harry's just making the point that the show will go on. As Thomas said, There were people on and off saying "I thought my session was cancelled as the site was down."... which it wasn't. Just thought I would make that clear for those who may have been confused last time around. Harry Williams 1141715 Posted July 11, 2011 at 09:28 AM Posted July 11, 2011 at 09:28 AM Don & All, You may have noticed that the VAT-UK website isn't running at its fully capacity, namely the MySQL isn't booting with the server for some reason. Unfortunately all we can do is wait for our host to get back to us on the problem. The minute we know something, so will you guys. Apologies for the downtime.
