Nicholas Bartolotta 912967 Posted December 9, 2005 at 12:26 AM Posted December 9, 2005 at 12:26 AM Hey folks, I've encountered an issue involving the Project Opensky 757 (both -200/-300) and the POSKY Virtual Cockpit. I downloaded the version 1.1 from Avsim.com of the VC. I followed the instructions (placed the textures into my textures folder for the aircraft, and added "VC" to the aircraft.cfg file). However, (1) the VC gauges do not display and (2) for some reason the engine textures don't display. When I take "VC" away from the aircraft.cfg, the aircraft engine textures come back and are fine (and obviously the VC isn't there though ) Here are screenshots I took of the two issues. Any help is greatly appreciated! Note there are no gauges such as altimeter, airspeed indicator, etc. Note the missing engine textures... Once again, thanks in advance! Ben Zwebner 906832 Posted December 9, 2005 at 01:14 AM Posted December 9, 2005 at 01:14 AM Ok, I have a hunch about the textures... the POSKY 757 (like most Posky planes) come in different Varients. For example, one 757 Model might have P&W engiens, the other might have GE. the shapes of the Nacelles are different. what happend with me, is that if I had a P&W 757 and tried to put a GE engien texture file on the A/C folder, the Plane would load up without the endien textures. Make sure that your Texture file matches the Piece. Its possible that the VC Model has different Engiens than your Texture folder... Nicholas Bartolotta 912967 Posted December 9, 2005 at 01:38 AM Author Posted December 9, 2005 at 01:38 AM Looks like you may be right, Ben. I checked and 2 of the paint schemes have Rolls-Royce engines, and then the other two have P&W's. Is there a fix for this? Ben Zwebner 906832 Posted December 9, 2005 at 01:45 AM Posted December 9, 2005 at 01:45 AM I havent tried it... but try copying and pasting the Text from the Aircraft Geometry part in the cfg that refers to the engiens and pasting it in the other plane.... (hope that made sense) tell me what happens! [email protected]
