Philippe Bouvier 1010959 Posted July 15, 2011 at 11:15 AM Posted July 15, 2011 at 11:15 AM Hi all ! I would like to flight in USA and i have read differents informations like this ( http://www.vatsim.net/prc/prc-ifrspec/ifr-clearances/) very well and really interesting. So i have discover too your strangely clearance, your very strange Hybrid SID !!! and vector SID 4 x !!!! http://www.vatusa.net/training/tiki-index.php?page=introduction_to_clearance_delivery Do you think to start from KMCI to KSTL or KMCI to KDFW is a good idea, do you have for exemple differents small aprons easier, with RNAV SID ? I'm going to vatusa and ARTCC Websites, but Kansas city doesn't exist http://zkcartcc.net/, do this sector is over ? cordially
Alexander Tucker 1106997 Posted July 15, 2011 at 06:16 PM Posted July 15, 2011 at 06:16 PM http://kcartcc.com/ is the new current Kansas City website. They are still putting it together though. KMCI to KSTL would be a good first flight, short and simple. Neither airports have SID's or STAR's though. If you are looking for charts, go to airnav.com as they have the charts you will need. Arrival's, approaches, and departure procedures are near the bottom and the airport diagram is located about half way down on the right side of the page. Have fun and good luck. (Yes, we are unique here. ) Flying is simple, as long as you know how to do it. <-- The original bug is back. (The best part is that it doesn't stop.) (Yes, we are unique here. ) Both do have SIDs and STARs. If you head over to aircharts.org and type them in, you'll see they both do have multiple SIDs and STARs. In reference to them, they are fairly easy though the first time you see them it looks like a jumble of squiggly lines and mumbo jumbo. Instead of jumping into a flight arbitrarily, I highly recommend ZLA's Pilot Training Program. They will teach you to fly from the ground up, what a SID is, what a STAR is and how to read and fly them. You'll also learn all the different kinds of approaches and the correct way to fly them. Check them out, http://www.laartcc.org and look for "Pilot Certifications".
Alexander Tucker 1106997 Posted July 17, 2011 at 04:10 AM Posted July 17, 2011 at 04:10 AM Blah, I'm thinking RNAV SID's and STAR's, which neither airport has. Flying is simple, as long as you know how to do it. <-- The original bug is back. (The best part is that it doesn't stop.)
