Martin Bergin 931070 Posted July 18, 2011 at 08:35 PM Posted July 18, 2011 at 08:35 PM At the heart of the divisional ATC Training Director role is the need to oversee the progression of candidates in a way that does not create unnecessary restrictions/delays whilst also maintaining good quality control. Duties: • Defining and enforcing minimum upgrade requirements/procedures (including theory tests) in line with the Global Rating Policy • Oversee the performance of the various vACC Training Departments across the division • Manage the Instructor and Examiner rosters for both local and divisional examiners • Facilitate Controller Practical Tests within vACCs where divisional involvement is required, either due to CPT requirements or in inactive vACCs • Identify vACCs that need support and provide [Mod - Happy Thoughts]istance through the vACC Support department to become more active and work towards achieving the requirements of an official vACC • Maintain the divisional Training Pages including the ATC Manual Requirements: • Must be 18 years of age or more and preferably possess a minimum of 24 months VATSIM membership • A member in good standing within a VATEUD vACC, vACC staff experience would be a plus • Good level of English, other European languages advantageous • Expected to be able to commit approx 7 hours per week to the tasks at hand. This is one of the most demanding positions within the division. The successful candidate must be a good communicator, have a clear vision and be prepared to commit for the longer-term, 2-3 years at least.
