Sim keeps Hanging and freezes when it tries to load weather

hi all

 

can anyone please help me;

 

my problem is as follows:

 

I have FS 2004, I downloaded 3wire and then FS screwed up by freezing when it tried to load in the weather for the flight. I then tried to uninstall it but it said that the uninstall.exe could not be found. Then I went to C:program files, microsoft games, FS9 and then tried to manually delete the folder (selecting it and hitting the delete key). I deleted some of it but said that a folder or two are protected and acess is denied and I couldn't reinstall it because it said that a folder is still there.

Anyone who can help me would really be appreciated

You might try starting your computer in"SAFE MODE" (strike the F8 key just after POST and before the Windows splash screen) and see if it will let you delete the directories then.

...except I cannot see how 3wire could possibly screw up your weather. As far as I know the two have nothing to do with eachother.

I use 3wire a lot, no problems here.

I seem to recall having this problem, where weather would cause a crash at 57% (or something like that) loaded. I am trying to recall what the solution was, and think it might have been to turn of the Render To Texture option in FS Options-Display Options.
