Kyle Rodgers 910155 Posted July 20, 2011 at 03:10 PM Posted July 20, 2011 at 03:10 PM ZDC is having a Summer Live! event on,Friday, July 22nd from 2300z-0300z at BWI. This is going to be a major event, and we are all looking forward to getting together in person and online to provide ATC into and out of BWI. BWI is a great field close to Washington, DC, offering two parallel runways 15L-33R and 15R-33L, with a crossing runway 10-28. We will be staffing several positions in the tower, TRACON, and center, focusing on BWI, but there will also be extra staffing for those wishing to fly to IAD and DCA. For real world routes, please have a look at FlightAware (http://flightaware.com/live/airport/KBWI). As a general rule of thumb, the aircraft in and out of the field are generally small Boeings (Southwest flies 737s in and out all day), small Airbuses (A320 series), and regionals (ERJs/CRJs/Dashes). The high end of the aircraft "regulars" is a 767 flown in by British.
