Scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 24th, the event will be a competition between Star Alliance, Oneworld, and Skyteam to see who can conduct the highest number of operations into the New York Metro Airports. The alliance with most takeoffs and landings will be declared the winner each of it's participating airlines will receive prizes courtesy of New York ARTCC. The battleground is set at three of the world's busiest airfields, surrounding the city that never sleeps. John F. Kennedy International Airport (KJFK), LaGuardia Airport (KLGA), and Newark Liberty International Airport (KEWR). For a total of five hours, New York Air Traffic Controllers will be out in full force ready to offer their renowned top-notch services to pilots from all over the world. ZNY handled a total of 149 operations during the event! Of those 149 operations, John F. Kennedy (JFK) handled 93, LaGuardia (LGA) handled 30, and Newark Liberty (EWR) handled 26! SkyTeam member Delta had the most operations of the alliance, 34, and randomly selected pilots who flew under a Delta or Delta subsidiary call sign will receive 4 Flight Simulator sceneries courtesy of BluePrint Simulations and FSDream Team! Oneworld member American Airlines had the second highest number of operations, 32, and a randomly selected pilot who flew under an American Airlines or American Airlines subsidiary call sign will receive a copy of FTX Central Rocky Mountains Scenery courtesy of Orbx Simulation Systems!
