Ethan Begrowicz 1163133 Posted August 14, 2011 at 07:27 PM Posted August 14, 2011 at 07:27 PM Hello, I am struggling on VRC. I am certified in DEL/GND but for some reason whenever i try to connect on VRC it tells me I can't do anything because I am not an active controller. I need some help with this. I am certified DEL/GND at KLGA with NY ARTCC.
Ernesto Alvarez 818262 Posted August 14, 2011 at 07:55 PM Posted August 14, 2011 at 07:55 PM check your rating and facility level on your login screen, what do you have it set as? if you just got your rating, it may take about 24 hours or so to go through the system completely
Johnathon Neilsen 955672 Posted August 14, 2011 at 09:31 PM Posted August 14, 2011 at 09:31 PM As Ernesto says, I forget to change my rating from Observer to Controller all the time....and I have the same problem, so make sure you have selected Student1 from the drop down menu and Delivery/Ground in the Facility menu. I'll see you around LGA then!

Daniel Hawton Posted August 14, 2011 at 11:53 PM Posted August 14, 2011 at 11:53 PM Try posting in the VRC forum, you can find it on the VATSIM forums but further down. Take a screen shot of the error message and/or copy verbatim and post there. You'll get your answers quicker with less speculation. VATSIM has you listed as a Student so you should be able to login, but without seeing the exact error message it will be nothing but guesses. Ross Carlson Posted August 15, 2011 at 01:48 AM Posted August 15, 2011 at 01:48 AM I am using the my initials like the people at NY ARTCC told me to Sounds like you were using an observer callsign. When you actually sign on to control, you would use a callsign appropriate to the position you are running.
