Anush Saffari 1080267 Posted August 24, 2011 at 09:56 PM Posted August 24, 2011 at 09:56 PM Recently installed XP9 in ubuntu 11.04, and averaged around 80fps + . I installed it windows, same computer, it barely struggles for 30 fps. I have no idea why it would be this huge of a performance difference. Any ideas? I prefer windows over Ubuntu. Keith Smith Posted August 25, 2011 at 07:48 PM Posted August 25, 2011 at 07:48 PM Linux does run xplane slightly faster under test conditions, but not by this much. Check your video driver versions, video driver settings, xplane video settings, and the conditions under which you are running the frame test. I can make my system go from 80fps to 19fps by just pitching the nose down in parts of socal.
