Kevin Shires 1199920 Posted September 30, 2011 at 08:00 AM Posted September 30, 2011 at 08:00 AM Am very new with Euroscope and have been looking in the forum for ways to integrate .bgl files into sector files. Found what I wanted with af2sct. I then converted a bgl file, af2_LICC, opened the the existing italy_v100a ese file and replaced the existing freetext for LICC with, [FREETEXT] ;LICC taxiways N037.28.01.781:E015.03.46.639:LICC taxiways:C N037.28.04.259:E015.03.48.556:LICC taxiways:A N037.27.59.796:E015.03.20.436:LICC taxiways:B N037.28.11.484:E015.03.27.466:LICC taxiways:H N037.28.04.074:E015.04.09.574:LICC taxiways:E N037.28.06.263:E015.04.40.251:LICC taxiways:F N037.28.07.941:E015.04.48.565:LICC taxiways:G ;LICC parkings N037.28.09.136:E015.04.01.571:LICC parkings:12 N037.28.09.946:E015.03.56.235:LICC parkings:8 N037.28.10.767:E015.03.54.432:LICC parkings:7 N037.28.11.501:E015.03.52.788:LICC parkings:6 N037.28.09.427:E015.03.41.739:LICC parkings:1 N037.28.09.513:E015.03.43.887:LICC parkings:2 N037.28.09.586:E015.03.46.581:LICC parkings:3 N037.28.05.699:E015.03.41.183:LICC parkings:22 N037.28.05.784:E015.03.43.887:LICC parkings:21 N037.28.05.865:E015.03.46.576:LICC parkings:20 N037.28.09.152:E015.03.58.042:LICC parkings:9 N037.28.09.320:E015.04.03.845:LICC parkings:13 N037.28.09.527:E015.04.06.150:LICC parkings:14 N037.28.09.701:E015.04.08.305:LICC parkings:15 N037.28.08.869:E015.04.10.133:LICC parkings:16 N037.28.08.949:E015.04.12.012:LICC parkings:18 N037.28.09.072:E015.04.13.827:LICC parkings:18 N037.28.05.616:E015.03.25.784:LICC parkings:301 N037.28.05.796:E015.03.27.595:LICC parkings:304 N037.28.05.980:E015.03.29.333:LICC parkings:306 N037.28.06.146:E015.03.31.132:LICC parkings:309 N037.28.06.309:E015.03.32.815:LICC parkings:312 N037.28.06.471:E015.03.34.449:LICC parkings:315 The taxiway designator and stand numbers all show correctly but there are no new visible taxiways shown, only the basic apron and previous (original) taxiways. I did notice underneath the above entry was:- [FREETEXT] ;Ground Markings (taxiways and/or stand numbers) What is this for,and how can I get the new taxiways to show in Euroscope?. Aaron Schpitzer 1174936 Posted October 1, 2011 at 12:19 AM Posted October 1, 2011 at 12:19 AM The [FREETEXT] section is only supposed to show text, in this case gate #'s and taxiway letters. To get taxiways to show up u must go into the .sct/.sct2 file and in the [GEO] section, u need to make line segments with the start and end coordinates of where u want a line, eventually all the lines will look like a taxiway. Check out these links, got allot of usefull info: http://www.metacraft.com/VRC/docs/doc.php?page=appendix_g ------------------ http://euroscope.hu/mediawiki/index.php?title=ESE_Files_Description 1174936, S3/P1 CZYZ FE CZUL, ZNY, ZOB, ZBW Visitor Canforce CEO
Kevin Shires 1199920 Posted October 3, 2011 at 10:28 AM Author Posted October 3, 2011 at 10:28 AM Sorry for the late reply, many many thanks for your info. Have now had some sucess with euroscope insofar that I have taxiways (with designators), taxi C/L,s, apron aoutlines, parking positions (also with designators), and holding points. The only thing I cannot bring into euroscope is the holding points designators eg A-A, A1-A1 etc. Can you give me a clue on this, also is it possible, in euroscope to see Lat and Long details. Once again many thanks.
Miguel Frias Posted October 3, 2011 at 02:29 PM Posted October 3, 2011 at 02:29 PM Kevin, You might want to use my Euroscope designer tool at http://fs.mine.nu/euroscope/design You can only draw on the sector file (which will go into the .SCT file) or you can have text appear (as Freetext). As an example, a few sector designers like to have the big runway numbers that lie on the runway. For that you must draw the numbers generating a bunch of lat/long lines that go into the [GEO] section (or LOW ARTCC or whatever) of the .SCT file. If in turn you only want a text to be shown at a specific lat/long simply define it as Freetext: N037.28.05.980:E015.03.29.333:LICC parkings:306 This will place a 306 at the specified lat/long and inside a "free text folder" called "LICC parkings". After reloading the sector file you must go to the "Display Settings" menu and activate the checkbox for the Freetext items you just created. Aaron Schpitzer 1174936 Posted October 15, 2011 at 11:32 PM Posted October 15, 2011 at 11:32 PM .sline command is good to find coordinates. Just type .sline and click where u want to have the coordinates, it forms like lines where u click and gives u the coordinates or each point, and then when ur done u can paste them into ur sectorfile. For the designator things just put them in the freetext section (using coordinates of where u want them gathered from .sline). Same format as segment u posted below 1174936, S3/P1 CZYZ FE CZUL, ZNY, ZOB, ZBW Visitor Canforce CEO
