Joe Flanagan 951388 Posted December 26, 2005 at 01:32 AM Posted December 26, 2005 at 01:32 AM Hi Giles, welcome! In the flight planner, when you are chosing your departing airport, down at the bottom left is where you select where to start. It defaults to the active runway, which could be very bad when flying online. (your trip would be over real quick if you popped on just as someone was coming in to land!) Click that little drop down list and you'll see things like "GATE 4 - Small", etc.. Pick something that isn't a runway.
Aaron Doyer 834365 Posted December 26, 2005 at 07:00 AM Posted December 26, 2005 at 07:00 AM An alternate method is to start on the active runway, then slew over to the gate, THEN connect to the network. Remember, connect LAST! Aaron Doyer - Glacier Aviation Virtual - Olympia, WA
Ruth McTighe 824054 Posted December 26, 2005 at 10:28 AM Posted December 26, 2005 at 10:28 AM and if you have an airport you fly from regularly, set yourself up at the gate as described above and then save your flight. Then next time you don't have to bother fiddling around or slewing.
