Mahmoud Fadli 819693 Posted December 28, 2005 at 03:05 AM Posted December 28, 2005 at 03:05 AM Hello everyone. I was wondering, does anyone know where I can get information regarding how Hajj flights are administered and where they usually arrive? I know in Saudi Arabia there are airports that only Saudia is allowed to land at - but how do I get that information? Arabian Airlines is working on our Hajj accomodations. Thanks. Mahmoud A. Shadi Abo Ahmad 812866 Posted December 30, 2005 at 08:23 AM Posted December 30, 2005 at 08:23 AM Mahmoud, As far as I know, flights arrive at OEJN King Abdulaziz Jeddah Intl airport. (http://www.pca.gov.sa/KAIA/KAIA.php) which include a special Hajj Terminal, it is a self-contained airport with special facilities to help accommodate the increasing number of pilgrims. During the Haj season, the pilgrims’ aircraft go directly from the landing runway to the east or west side of the terminal to the parking aprons. Each apron can accommodate 10 Boeing 747s and 24 other aircraft in parking position. After embarking from the aircraft, the pilgrims use bridges to arrive directly to air-conditioned terminal buildings which are used for p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]port control, customs, baggage handling and other processing. Pilgrims then proceed to a wide area covered with fabric tents equipped with all the facilities so as to enjoy their trip to the Haj shrines.
