Hi Ken, welcome to VATSIM.

First of try the Pilot Resource Centre, http://www.vatsim.net/prc this will give you the basics.

There are several affiliated organisations around that you can join to obtain your VATSIM pilot rating, and as well as being educational they are a bit of fun. I personally used the VATCAN system, but you will find all the ATO's listed at http://www.vatsim.net/pilots/ptd/

regards,

Steven

Hi Ken,

Welcome to VATSIM! The best place to start is the quick start guide which you will find here -> http://www.vatsim.net/pilots/quickstart/ Within it, you will find a number of links that will answer most if not all of your questions.

After that, there are many training organizations around lists of which can be found here --> http://linksmanager.com/vatsimvas/authorised-training-organisation.html

Happy flying, and keep the blue side up!

thank you...i signed up for vatcan...waiting on the confirmation. I have over 400 hrs in FSX so the flying should be the basic part. I am also training for my Ultralight cert as we speak. Just looking to use this as a way to be more proficient at ALL aspects of flight. Thank you for the help
