I have installed the following: FS2004 9.1 SBRelay 1.2 Servinfo 2.02 SquawkBox v2.3BETA Build 4 HostSB.dll Everything runs fine until I search for Multiplayer games in SBox, when it sticks on "Looking for games.." I'm tearing my hair out here !! What I am doing wrong/ missing? Thanks Malcolm

Malcolm Thornton 917969 Posted December 15, 2004 at 05:42 PM Author Posted December 15, 2004 at 05:42 PM It's just hanging on "looking for games". I,ve waited over 5 mins, but no change. How long should I wait? Malcolm
Paul Williams 907674 Posted December 15, 2004 at 05:45 PM Posted December 15, 2004 at 05:45 PM That screen will stay there until you click on the "Start Search" button in SquawkBox. In the dialog box that comes up, simply press enter. Malcolm Thornton 917969 Posted December 15, 2004 at 05:54 PM Author Posted December 15, 2004 at 05:54 PM Thanks Paul, but I am doning what you suggest. I click "Start Search" in the "Squawkbox Multiplayer - Multiplayer Games" box. This moves to a "Locate Session" box, where I press Enter (no IP address entered) as you suggest. This returns me to "Squawkbox Multiplayer - Multiplayer Games" box, which is where my problem is. Here, it "locks" on "looking for games...". Sorry for being long winded !! Paul Williams 907674 Posted December 15, 2004 at 06:13 PM Posted December 15, 2004 at 06:13 PM Ah sorry, I misunderstood Do you have a firewall running? This could be blocking finding the session. Malcolm Thornton 917969 Posted December 15, 2004 at 06:57 PM Author Posted December 15, 2004 at 06:57 PM No firewall Paul, but Found it !! If I put 127.0.0.1 as the IP address in the Locate Session box (even though the docomeentation specifically says "NEVER ENTER AN ADDRESS FOR FS2004 USERS) !!! Perhaps the docs need amending. Thanks for your help. Now, to go flying ....... Malcolm

Norm Hare 907837 Posted December 16, 2004 at 12:04 PM Posted December 16, 2004 at 12:04 PM Might want to look at your \etc\hosts file. You may have some foreign entries in there. Make sure that 127.0.0.1 points to localhost.
